Tutorial#2 - How to create a GIF in Photoshop

In this tutorial, we will explain how to create an animated Text using Position & Effect in Photoshop. Earlier We just use the effect of Fade In and Fade Out of each Text  but in this tutorial we teach much more advance with dynamic effect at a time.

Let's get started...!!!

Step 1
Create a New Document of 1024 x 300 pixels with 72 pixels Resolution.
___________________________________________________________________________

Step 2
Set the foreground color as per your wish. Here we use orange color (#ff9933) and fill the Background layer by using shortcut (Alt+Backspace).

___________________________________________________________________________
Step 3
Let's design this background with interesting scribbles. Create a New Layer (Layer>>New>>Layer) or (Shift+Ctrl+N). By using Pen tool (Press 'P' on Keyboard) scribble on the new layer with free style.
___________________________________________________________________________
Step 4
Ones you complete with your free style, hit 'B' on keyboard for Brush tool and set the brush size to 2 px and later interchange your foreground and background color by pressing 'X' on keyboard. You can notice below, White is for foreground and orange is for background.
___________________________________________________________________________

Step 5
Again come back to Pen Tool ('P') and make sure that you selected a new layer. Right click on the path, (Stroke>>Brush>>OK)

___________________________________________________________________________

Step 6
Now will create more scribbling by duplicate the new layer (Ctrl+J). Transform (Ctrl+T) the duplicate layer to Flip Horizontal.
___________________________________________________________________________

Step 7
Invert the Color of the Duplicate Layer (Image>>Adjustment>>Invert (Ctrl+I)).
___________________________________________________________________________

Step 8
Set the Blending mode Soft Light to the New Layer and Color Dodge to Duplicate Layer (Layer>>Layer Style>>Blending Options or Double click on the Layer). Decrease the Opacity of the 2 layers as per your requirement.

___________________________________________________________________________
Step 9
Create a new Text layer by pressing 'T' on keyboard and type your words. Here we created 3 Text layers as Graphic Design, Web Design & SEO which we going to animate this 3 text.

___________________________________________________________________________
Step 10
Now it's time to animate your text on Photoshop. Click on Window button from menu bar and select Animation which is shown below.
 ___________________________________________________________________________
Step 11
Make sure that all the 3 text layers should be invisible except the background layers as the animation will start from Fade in effect. Now you can see a frame in animation pane. Set the frame to 0.1second as you can click on the Drop down button as shown below.

 ___________________________________________________________________________
Step 12
Create a New Frame from the bottom of the Animation Pane or Click on the option button on the top of Animation Pane and select New Frame. Now select second frame and set the first text layer (Graphic Design) to Visible. We have highlighted a red rounded mark respectively.

 ___________________________________________________________________________
Step 13
Now it's time to give Fade in effect to the frames. Here, select 2 frames by using shift Key and click on Tween button which is mentioned below or select the option from Animation Pane and select Tween. We have added 10 more frames between 2 previous frames and total we have 12 frames for 1.2 seconds.
Make sure you use the following values and press OK.

If you try to play this 12 frames, you can see your animation as given below:
 ___________________________________________________________________________
Step 14
After giving Fade In effect, now we going to change the position of the text. So you need to insert the new frame and just move the text towards left and it must be out of page so that it can hide.
Note: This step is working on only Frame#13 (Text will remain in center on Frame#12 & the same text will move towards left i.e. out of page on Frame#13).

 ___________________________________________________________________________
Step 15
Select the last two frames(i.e. 12th & 13th frame) and again go to Option from Animation Pane and select Tween.
Make sure you use the following values and press OK.

If you try to play this 23 frames, it seems like below:

Step 16
For the second Text Layer, we going to follow the same Step#12 for fade in effect and position.

Have a look on the second text Layer:
